Improvers Group @ Shephalbury Park, broadhall way, Stevenage

The improvers group is designed for runners who have completed the Zero to 5k training programme and now want to improve their running and fitness to the next level, completing distances of up to about 4-4.5 miles regularly.

This session is focussing on developing runners ability to sustain a speed over a distance up to about 10k. We use a defined route and, after mobilisations and warm up, use a series of timed intervals interspersed with timed recovery runs.

The session is suitable for all those who can run continuously for at least 4  miles. We regroup on the go as we complete the route so no runner gets left behind and is encouraged to complete the route.

7/11 – ladder -3×2,3×3,3×4

16/11 – 10x3min/90secs

21/11 – pyramid

30/11 – 3×1/1, 6x4min/2min, 3×1/1

5 mile steady run @ Shephalbury Park, Broadhall Way

Steady 5 mile training run. Suitable for all runners who are able to complete the advertised distance continuously. The training session is run on an out and back route with the emphasis on steady pacing. Ideal for runners who are looking to build up endurance. This may also be a helpful session for any runners returning from injury or seeking a recovery run where they are avoiding quicker paced training sessions.

3-5 x 1k interval training @ Small totem pole car park, Fairlands way, stevenage

We will be meeting in the small car park on Fairlands way, Fairlands Valley Park. Warming up to verity way before running a series of 1k intervals. A focus on speed endurance and developing technique.

Sunday training run Weston, Windmill and Walkern @ Budgens car park, Great Ashby Way

Join us at Budgens car park, Great Ashby Way for our Sunday training run. 8:30am start. This will mainly be on road (there are a couple of short off road sections near the windmill and walkern).

Great way of kick starting your endurance building for half and full marathon training going into 2018.
