This session is focussing on developing runners ability to sustain a speed over a distance up to about 10k. We use a defined route and, after mobilisations and warm up, use a series of timed intervals interspersed with timed recovery runs.
The session is suitable for all those who can run continuously for at least 4 miles. We regroup on the go as we complete the route so no runner gets left behind and is encouraged to complete the route.
Steady 5 mile training run. Suitable for all runners who are able to complete the advertised distance continuously. The training session is run on an out and back route with the emphasis on steady pacing. Ideal for runners who are looking to build up endurance. This may also be a helpful session for any runners returning from injury or seeking a recovery run where they are avoiding quicker paced training sessions.
Wewill be meeting at Shephalbury Park, warming up and mobilising near the underpass by the great oak!
We will use the three underpasses to get a range of hills in a continuous session, developing speed and strength.
Suitable for all abilities. We are working in a defined area of the cycleway network so runners of all paces can get the most out of this session.
