Steady 5 mile training run. Suitable for all runners who are able to complete the advertised distance continuously. The training session is run on an out and back route with the emphasis on steady pacing. Ideal for runners who are looking to build up endurance. This may also be a helpful session for any runners returning from injury or seeking a recovery run where they are avoiding quicker paced training sessions.

Speed endurance training @ Shephalbury Park, Broadhall Way | England | United Kingdom

This session is focussing on developing runners ability to sustain a speed over a distance up to about 10k. We use a defined route and, after mobilisations and warm up, use a series of timed intervals interspersed with timed recovery runs.

The session is suitable for all those who can run continuously for at least 4 miles. We regroup on the go as we complete the route so no runner gets left behind and is encouraged to complete the route.

2/1 – 1 minute intervals. Group 1 2x(12 x 1/1), group 2 3x(10×1/1)

11/1 – 2 minute intervals. Group 1 2x (6×2/1), group 2 2x(8×2/1)

16/1 – ladder session. Group 1 4×1, 4×2, 4×3, group 2 3×1, 3×2, 3×3, 3×4

25/1 – 3 minute intervals. Group 1 8×3/90secs, group 2 10×3/90secs

30/1 – pyramid session. Group 1 2×2,2×3,1×4, 2×3, 2×2, Group 2 2×1, 2×2, 2×3, 2×4, 2×3, 2×2, 2×1

Sunday training run – group A 10 miles. Shilley Green and Minsden Chapel @ Meadway playing fields car park, Redcar Drive

We will be meeting at Meadway playing fields car park, Redcar Drive for a run to Shilley Green via woodcutters and a visit to Minsden Chapel. A mixture of road and off road running.

Sunday training run Group B – 8 miles @ Meadway playing fields car park, Redcar Drive
Jan 28 @ 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

We will be meeting at Meadway and completing a route of 7.5-8 miles on cycleways within Stevenage.  This run is at a slower pace designed for those making the step up in their distance training.
